Delivery note (DN)

DN is the response from SMSC server. It means, when the SMS sent from our end to the server in Maxis, Digi, Celcom, it will returns a code, informing us if the SMS Center received the message, the code is what we called delivery note.

The implication is, the delivery note do not tell you if the end user received your SMS. Anyone that had used services from many SMS providers know that even though it shows delivered in DN, but some messages are lost.

This is actually out of control of the SMS service provider. But the 2 way SMS technology helps to increase deliver rate to about 99.9%. isms.com.my actually went through a lot of hard work to ensure our customers received the best service.
